Sudden Death (R)

Starring: Jean Claude Van Damme

Contents: Extreme violence, language

Rating: 6

Summary:When a group of well-organized thieves capture the vice-president and his entourage at a hockey game, it's up to heroic fireman Jean Claude to save his life and the life of everyone in the stadium, including his young son and daughter.

Reasonably interesting action film, but there's nothing in here that hasn't been done before, really. Some of the violence is rather extreme and unnecessary, in my view. One good thing: Jean's older kid doesn't go galavanting around, like is shown in most movies: when he's told to stay put, he STAYS PUT. (His daughter, however, is another story...)

Don't pay full price when you see this: try to get an afternoon showing.
