Goldeneye (PG-13)

Starring: Pierce Brosnan

Contents: Violence, female nudity, sexual situations

Rating: 8

Summary:James Bond is back! This time, he's in Russia to recover a secret weapon developed during the Cold War. This weapon, called the Goldeneye, generates an electromagnetic pulse that destroys anything with electronics.

This film was LOTS of fun. I've been looking forward to Pierce as James Bond since his Remington Steele days. He's suave, great with the women, and just the right guy to fill those Bond shoes. There are some interesting changes in Bond's life (his boss 'M' is now a woman) but Bond remains the same ladykilling, partying, dangerous man he's always been.

There are some great characters in the film, such as Onnatop, a gorgeous woman who gets off on killing people. Early in the film she kills a guy by crushing him between her thighs (what a way to go, eh? :-) ). Some faces are familiar, too: the CIA agent is the same guy who appeared as the head badguy in "The Living Daylights".

A must see.
