The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill but Came Down a Mountain (PG)

Starring: Colm Meaney, Hugh Grant

Contents: Mild profanity

Rating: 8

Summary: Set in the early days of WW II, the residents of a small town in Wales attempt to keep an English surveyer in town while they raise the hight of a local hill in order to have it qualify as a mountain.

Very cute: good date film if you are a romantic. There are some memorable characters: a cantankerous old priest who keeps trying to get Meaney back to church, Colm Meaney is a scream as Morgan "The Goat" (called that due to his keen interest in the local women whose husbands are away at war), and of course Hugh Grant being his usual slightly befuddled, very English self.
